An Introduction of Sorts: Welcome to the Young Hustler
As I write this, it is 6:02 am, day who-knows-when of the COVID 19 enhanced community quarantine in “sunny” Manila. I’m sure at this point, you’ve also lost count of the days and have most likely picked up a new hobby, new passion, or new project to keep yourself busy and sane. Well, here I am. I am wide awake, fueled by sheer boredom and early morning Netflix binges. Did I create this blog to quench my daily life of monotony and give myself a moment of escape from repetition? Well, yes and no. This blog was born, in all honesty, out of necessity. The primary force was looking for a way to create passive income to finance my investment goals. So yes, this blog is capitalism at its finest, don't hate me. But that's just one bottom line. My ultimate goal is to impart useful opinions, thoughts, and information that I have gleaned being imprisoned in my own home. And likewise the slew of writers that I have asked to write with me.
But now you may be thinking: “okay, but what is this blog all about?”. First and foremost, whatever has brought you here to this meek little blog, welcome. God knows what you’ve been searching on the world wide web but here you are. Unless you know me personally, chances are that you stumbled upon the Young Hustler completely by accident. But here you are, still reading. Thank you for lending me your time and your interest.
The Young Hustler, as the title suggests, is all about hustling. Hustling has recently been a buzz word and a popular expression that’s been thrown around. To me, the beauty of the word is its flexibility. And rightfully so, I have my own definition. This is a blog in which I will be sharing my journey through the life of hustling and grinding and simply becoming a better version of myself in whatever passions, inclinations, or interests I may have. However, my passions and knowledge in certain fields only stretches out so far. And no one wants to listen to one guy ramble on about his thoughts and opinions. That’s when I decided to bring people on board and advocate this idea of hustling in various different fields and industries.
At the onset of this project, I envisioned myself tackling this ambitious goal of “blog fame” all by my lonesome. I’ve always thought of myself, a 5-foot 5-inch computer geek, as a lone wolf. But on the contrary, as I’ll be sharing in later articles, I find that I thrive best with others by my side, supporting me and aiding one another. No, we don’t necessarily have to hold hands and sing Kumbaya, but knowing that there’s someone out there rooting for you is a pretty damn good feeling.
I originally wanted to talk about becoming financially secure, whether it be doing odd part-time jobs to side jobs and online tasks, I wanted to delve into them. The ultimate goal was to retire early, travel the world, and simply live a good life. All of this, of course, a by-product of financial success. But then I realized that there were already so many blogs that talked about “getting rich”, and I didn’t just want to be another cog in the machine.
But hustling is more than just raking in the cash and becoming a corporate and capitalist slave of sorts. It dawned on me that the overarching theme was: personal “hustling” and success. Among the topics I want to discuss is investing in yourself and developing who you are as an individual and what you have to offer. When you’ve grown as a person and honed skills that are in line with your passions, you’ll find hustles and opportunities that won’t feel like grinding. Hopefully, you'll finally find that "something" that you love doing, which just so happens to pay you. All the while, enjoying yourself. Hustling begins with the star of the show: you. The Young Hustler is about reaching the peak of one's self, whatever goals you may have for your own personal story.
As much as I want this blog to simply be an opinion column, I also wish to impart actual useful substance that may be of use to you. The Young Hustler is a space in which I plan on sharing my quest to become a better person, and so too do the authors I’ve invited to help me on this mission. None of us claim to have authority over the topics that we’ll be discussing. We don’t have all the answers, but we want you to come with us to find them.
Every morning (or afternoon like me), we wake up to a new day, greeted by a magnificent sunrise. It's your choice whether you want to be better than you were yesterday. Again, welcome to The Young Hustler, a blog and a journey, to becoming a better person.

I love this!!!!
ReplyDeleteI too have a personal blog that is a bit unique from the norm. It's basically an adventure driven journal of my life as I try to cross some items off my bucket list. Many of those goals will encourage me to grow as a person while keeping myself accountable.
I subscribed to your email list so definitely keep me updated when you make new posts. I look forward to learning a thing or two about financial abundance from the Young Hustler =D
